Meeting of HR/VP Mogherini, Ministers of Foreign Affairs of France, Germany, Great Britain and Iran

As part of the ongoing E3/EU+3 nuclear negotiations with Iran, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini hosted a meeting with the Foreign Ministers of Germany, Frank Walter Steinmeier, of France, Laurent Fabius, of Great Britain, Philip Hammond, and the Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif on 16 March 2015 in Brussels.

After the meeting, the E3 Foreign Ministers and the High Representative stressed their determination to work towards reaching agreement with Iran on a solution that would address all concerns of the international community on the exclusively peaceful nature of the Iranian nuclear programme.

High Representative/Vice President Mogherini said: "This was a useful meeting and I am confident it will contribute to advancing the process in the coming days and weeks."

E3/EU+3 Political Directors will continue negotiations with Iran later this week. EU Political Director Helga Schmid will join the US-Iran bilateral talks as of tomorrow. E3/EU+3  Political Directors will meet on Wednesday in Lausanne.
