Presentation of six European Capitals of Culture

On Friday, 1st March 2013 the Delegation of the European Union to Japan hosted a very well attended series of presentations by representatives of Guimaraes, Maribor, Marseille-Provence, Kosice, Riga, Umea (European Capitals of Culture 2012, 2013 and 2014). Other speakers included Minister Maeve Collins, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation and Mr Shoji Kogi, Secretary-General of EU-Japan Fest Japan Committee.

The event was co-organised by the EU Delegation and the Embassies of France, Slovakia, Latvia, and Sweden, with the support of the EU-Japan Fest Japan Committee.

Close to 150 guests, including a number of representatives from Japanese cultural and artistic organisations, attended the event which was concluded with an informal networking drink.
