EU's chief climate negotiator to visit Japan

Jake Werksman, Principle Advisor to the Director-General for Climate Action of the European Commission will be visiting Japan from 7 to 10 March. The main purpose of his visit is to represent the European Union in the EU-Japan High-Level Dialogue on Climate Change that will be held on 7 March. He will also represent the EU in the 15th Japan-Brazil Dialogue on Climate Change that will take place in Tokyo on 9-10 March.

In the context of this visit, a public seminar on the implementation of the Paris Agreement on climate change – co-organised with the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation – will be held at the EU Delegation to Japan in the afternoon of 7 March, with the participation of Mr Jun Takashina, Deputy Director-General for Technology and Environment at Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. A panel discussion will follow with representatives of industry, local government and academia.
