Three European Commissioners to visit Japan for G7-related meetings

Three European Commissioners will be visiting Japan to participate in their respective G7 ministerial meetings that will be held over the coming weekend. The European Union is a full member of the G7.

Karmenu Vella, Commissioner for Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries will be in Japan from 12 to 17 May to take part in the G7 Toyama Environment Ministers' Meeting. He will also speak at a seminar on ocean governance in Tokyo on 12 May.

Tibor Navracsis, Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, will visit Japan from 13 to 18 May to take part in the G7 Kurashiki Education Ministers' Meeting, and will also meet Japanese interlocutors in Tokyo during his stay.

Carlos Moedas, Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation will be in Japan from 15 to 18 May for the G7 Tsukuba Science and Technology Ministers' Meeting.
